Three wire data encoding

We propose a delay-insensitive(DI) data communication architecture for reducing inductive coupling noise by using 3-wire data encoding. This method consists of 3 signal wires for 1-bit data, and encodes data and timing signal for synchronization using 3 wires to eliminate the signal skew problem. With the 3 wires, drivers drive at least one wire rise-transition and at least one wire fall-transition, to compensate their return current paths, which make the current loop small. That means this method reduce the inductive effects that is said to become more significant in future integrated circuits working at high frequency.
