VLSI and Hardware Security Lab

The Ikeda Laboratory is researching the design and evaluation of new high-performance cryptographic hardware using VLSI design techniques, automated design techniques, image sensors, etc.

Research

Examples of research conducted in the Ikeda Laboratory

Hardware Implementation of Cryptography

We aim to commercialize hardware that can safely and quickly execute high-performance cryptography such as post-quantum cryptography and homomorphic encryption.

Hardware Security Evaluation of Cryptography

We evaluate the security of cryptographic hardware, such as whether secret information leaks when attacked, in addition to its performance.

Automatic Design Technology

We are working on automatic design technologies such as high-level synthesis from software description languages such as Python and C/C++ to hardware description languages.
